Our Programs

Working to provide a high quality, fun Youth Mountain Bike program.

Requirements for Registration

The participant’s age or ability must match their group.  School-grade guidelines are a great way to start, but changes may be made upon evaluation of each child’s skill level.  Grade guidelines are for the 2021-22 school year.

Everyone must wear a properly fitted HELMET at all times, additional protective equipment (like gloves!) is not required, but encouraged.
SHOES must be closed toe, we know it’s hot but we like our toes safe! PEDALS should be flat, no “clipping in”. WATER needs to be carried by each participant, either in a bottle cage or a hydration pack – this is a requirement!

We cannot allow bikes with COASTER BRAKES (brakes that require a back pedal motion)… the skills specific to mountain biking do not translate to coaster brakes, only hand brakes.

Our program is a progressive skills-based mountain bike club. The more your child is here, the better (!) as we build upon skills we’ve learned each week.

If we have to cancel based on Health Department recommendations, you will receive a FULL refund.

CLUB LEVELS

Our club levels are uniquely designed to overlap so we can place kids correctly.

If you have a child who’s age group overlaps 2 levels, choose the lower level.

Grade-level is meant only as a guideline. Coaches may move kids up based upon skill level, but they will not be moved down.

***This group is not appropriate for every child. There is a very limited amount of space in this group. In addition, there is a level of maturity, bike skills, riding experience and endurance needed for this group. Please also consider registering for the Alpine Rippers team (also 2 days/week).**

At a minimum your child needs to be at a maturity level to follow coaches directions, work well in a group setting, and ride for up to 2 hrs.

Focus: More advanced skills, more endurance, more riding. This group will progress faster and ride further for a longer period of time. These riders are not afraid of going down and also are willing to work for it.
Encouraging others and being happy for teammate success is also a huge part of this class.
